Welcome to nursing link!

Well, I've hired a lot of nurses & aides. It depends on where it is! If it's a little demon tatoo on your arm... eh, I wouldn't care. A HUGE one on your forehead?  Well, yeh, a problem!

The question is: Does it show questionable judgment? Someone whose arms & legs are covered by tats - I would wonder how good their judgment is? Sure, it's personal choice, but administrators always have to think about what their patients or residents might think. Nursing is a "public contact"profession.

Sooooo, where is this demon located???

I wouldn't be concerned. Cover it up at interviews, and once you're hired and they like you, no one will care!

(if it was me it would be a plus, but I'm not the average administrator!)

Good luck!

I was in your shoes thinking my one visible tattoo would be a hinderance.  I have a rose on my neck just behind and slightly below my left ear.  I am changing careers and never had a problem with it in corporate america, but this is a completely different field.  I have found that it isn't as daunting as one might think.
