We have been recruiting home care nurses but would like to know if other types of nurses look for clients online or have your own practice. We know that professional caring nurses for elder, child, or disability care is on the rise. Are there other types of nurses who would go independent or freelance given the 'how do i get clients' question is taken care of?

About talk2pros

We just launched a new search engine built from ground up to find local people, talk2pros.com, simplified local services search. We were led down this path by our friends who are independents.

A) people are leaving company jobs to pursue independent careers in droves and need a way to get online and start building your online assets (traffic, fans, SEO, testimonials, client interactions, efficient communication)
B) what I really want is to get to know the nurse as a person. What's your personal style? How do you work with clients? Are you detailed? What's your availability?
C) people WANT to hire the person they are going to be working with directly - hiring local professionals drives up quality and drives down costs for independents and small businesses

My business partner and I used our extensive experience in search & internet technology to create a simple light-weight intelligent solution for independent professionals. We'll take on the ins and outs of search engines, social media, and gaining awareness in the local community - you just need to concentrate on showcasing your talents.

Creating your professional website is free and mind blowingly simple and loaded next-gen search technology behind the curtains. We are going to test the capabilities so the early users are getting a TON of free promotion during the beta testing period.

So bottom line, we'd love for you to take a look, create your website, tell us both good/bad feedback (we're in beta so this is the 'feedback from users' stage). Worst case scenario you've spent 10mins that brings eyeballs to your page. http://talk2pros.com and click on get started.

Hi marynaern, we know consumers are looking for home care nurses and that home elder care nursing is going to be one of the fastest growing professions in the next decade. We're seeing the same type of trends in other professions, where people are leaving corporate to go independent. We're creating a single search engine to find people and their skills, the idea is to promote the individual while making it dead simple for them to get online and get found by searching people. We can absorb the cost of design, next-gen technology, and internet marketing giving pros a real free and real simple way of getting their business service online.

The questions:

are there other types of nurses who want to go independent? e.g. does it make sense for nurses to freelance at multiple doctor's offices?

Also marynaern, would you mind giving feedback on the website creation process? Should be pretty straightforward with copy/pasting the information from housecallsnursing.com, would love to get a sense of usefulness for your biz.

Thanks!
