Posted about 3 years ago I am in my second semester for nursing in an Associate Degree program. I have a very hard time with the narrow margin for mistakes when it comes to passing my theory classes. I understand why they do this, however, I am ready to quit. I have an Associate's Degree from a University and never experienced anything quite like this. I am now at a technical college. I need a better way to practice relevant NCLEX questions that pertain to my exams and am not getting that at my school. I already have a Silvestri RN NCLEX review book that has helped my so much. I need more reliable test questions and am out of steam. |

| Posted about 3 years ago Do NOT quit! I've been to Law School and nursing school, and believe me nursing school is tougher - there are so many science courses, plus you have to coordinate classroom with clinical, and projects too. But it will be worth it! I had two classmates that quit - it was too much for them. Both enrolled in LPN school, graduated at the top of their class, then later bridged over to RN. Where there's a will, there's a way! |

| Posted about 3 years ago Thanks! I am feeling a little better today. I just need to pass. I am looking for anything that will help me with my theory exams. They are a killer and it seems like no two are ever the same when it comes to the style of questions!
I bet that my brother in law would love to hear that Nursing school is harder. lol He is an Attorney. |

| Posted about 3 years ago DON'T QUIT!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS! Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX is a good book (I personally have the blue one, 4th edition I think...) Besides other resources, I used the book - NCLEX-RN Questions & Answers Made Incredibly Easy - Wonderful Book! 3,500 questions Nursing School is hard, but you can do it... |

| Posted almost 3 years ago I really identified with your feeling that nursing school is the hardest. I have a 4-year liberal arts degree and a master's degree. The ADN program is the hardest I've experienced. The theory class exams were a bear! I never got better than a B in the exams last semester. Also, the clinical assignments involved long hours, early a.m.'s and late nights doing care plans. Totally exhausting. I'm half way through now, just one more year to go... I'm curious. Did you continue on? Hope you didn't quit! (I'm not sure why I said that, as I have thought of quitting many times over the past few weeks!) |

| Posted almost 3 years ago I made it through my theory classes for now! It was dreadful though... I have one more semester of clinical and I can get my LPN. In this program the clinicals tend to be a little less stressful than the theory. At least so far! I am on summer break from school right now. It was MUCH needed. The accelerated program is way too much at one time. But I'm going to hang in there as best I can. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago Hang in there ~~ It is a hard and stressful road but in the end you look vack and say I DID IT!!! and it is the most rewarding feeling you can have. The day I passed my final (even though I knew that I would pass the course) I can't explain the feeling that went over me. It was like all the tension just drained away. I went down the hall to the restroom and there were some 1st semester nursing students standing in the hall and I walked up to them and said and I quote " I know you don't know me and don't care but I just offically finished with my nursing degree and I need to tell someone" They looked at me and one said I can't even see myself there. That is what you are probably feeling now but it does come and don't give up because the feeling is something you will never forget. ~~Cheryl~~ Our service to others is the rent we pay while here on earth!! |
