Excelsior college will take medics and lpns for rn associate degree. Military people attend free. Good luck and stay safe.

I did the Army Medic straight to 91C school at St. Philips in San Antonio and then many years later I did the LPN to BSN program at University of Phoenix. I liked the program because there was no waiting list and I got my BSN. I was part of the first group in the new program so some things were messed up. But, I passed boards and have been a RN for a couple of years so life is good. UoP is very expensive. I tried the Excelsior college thing but I personally didn't like it - but that is just me - free school is free school!

Good luck, keep your head down.

I can't do the Excelsoir home study program, because California banned the program here. I like the weather here though, it is hot and sandy, especially in the summer time at the beach. I planned to take my NCLEX LVN boards around the summer time though. I might use my LVN to transition in the RN program, at a Junior college, which is only a year in a half program. You can also do that Nil, but try the Excelsoir program first, since it is free, you don't have nothing to lose, but you can take some of the RN prequisistes at a Junoir college too.
