Please advise. I have taken all my pre-requisites towards starting an BSN at TWU. I need a school online that will accept me asap to start taking Anatomy I and II this summer. I must have my grades by September 1st, 2010. Please assist me with online schools that I can easily apply and enroll in soonest. Thank you for your assistance. Candice

You might find it difficult to accomplish that at a traditional school.  I took A&P online at my local community college, but it was only the lecture portion that was online.  I still had to come to campus x4 to take the exams in the computer lab, and also every week for my lab.  So it wasn't even completely online (the school was in Virginia Beach, fyi).  Also, they only let students take A&P one at a time in sequence, which meant we could only take 1 A&P during the summer, not both parts.

Your best bet might be to try checking with an online school such as University of Phoenix, or something like that to find out when they offer A&P and how frequently.  You will probably end up paying a lot more, though.

Also, PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND...I don't know if this is your mindset, but in case it is...lots of pre-nursing students think that A&P is just some dumb requirement to check off so that they can get into nursing school.  They have the tendency to do the bare minimum to get into nursing school, then forget all the A&P.  That is the worse thing you can do.  Take these 2 classes VERY seriously.  I have been tutoring nursing students for several years, and I always see that the students who struggle the most are the ones who are weak on their A&P.  Remember that nursing might be a caring profession, but it's also a science-based profession.  So however you end up taking these course, make sure you really make the effort to learn the material.  Trust me...it will save you a lot of time and stress once you get to nursing school!
