When I took Pharmocology, we were taught to make are own drug cards by scratch by each drug type classification, and the theraputic effects, and side effects, and adverse effects. The printer shop is good, but you should use your pharmocology book as a study guide. You are doing great using the Davis Drug Guide, I was taught that the Davis Drug Guide is the best, it will be your bible throughout your nursing career. I hope I helped, Good Luck!!!

We use Prentice Hall Nurse's Drug Guide, and I'm not sure how that compares to Davis's D.G., but an instructor told me to focus on the italicized (most common) or underlined (life threatening) side effects & adverse reactions when doing my cards. I think cuttie had a great suggestion, if you have had Pharm the information provided for your prototype drugs will be summarized well. I keep my cards in those small, plastic photo albums that you can pick up for $1. For a few drugs, I have several cards on one drug because the different medical diagnosis may require different dosages/routes. (Ex:Captopril taken for hypertension, CHF, or renal insufficiency -different safe dosages for each.)

Interventions/implementions? Yes.

Best of luck, and if you hear of any other suggestions pass them on.

Thank you so much...I haven't even began school yet, but at orientation they gave us a list of drugs to make cards on, and that was it..so it's kind of difficult to know what to do when they just tell you like that...so hopefully I am doing it right...it is just taking forever...and I guess that's why they gave us the list early...geez...thanks though...

Boy, I have to admit that I would have struggled with that as well had I not been taking Pharm at the same time! You will do fine.
