I am currently attending school to become a medical assisting. I want to eventually become a RN, I wanted to know is it a diffcult transition to go to school to become a RN from being a MA?

I've found that the very best RN's come up through the ranks. I was a first aider (in the days before EMT's) an Army Medic, a nurse aide, then eventually an RN.

Those of us with some medical background were much more competent and comfortable working on the hospital units than those who went directly to BSN from high school.

Study hard, keep your eye on your goals!
