Are there any non for profit facilities left anymore? If so, where are they ??? I'm really tired of my client well being becoming second on the list to facility profit. Where I work if a procedure is ordered it has to go through administration first and be ok'd before we are able to schedule it. If an MD orders a procedure why wouldn't it be necessary to follow through with it? When money out weighs client care there is truly something wrong with the system! I am sworn by my Profession to be a patient advocate and to the end that's what I will be and i fight for each and every procedure ordered, but it gets really frustrating at times. I leave work somedays feeling less of a nurse than I should be! I just don't understand how a country with the most up to date outstanding Health care can have a System that fails it's people... Help me understand this any one have the same problem where they work?
