Pandemic influenza outbreak info

The US is in alert status for a possible Pandemic flu outbreak.  If we do have a pandemic outbreak, the nurse patient ratio could be so difficult.  An inservice at work told the class today that nurse/patient ratios could be 5:1 in ICU; and 20:1 for the floor.  It's scary to think that this could happen.  These ratios were given to the class on a power point presentation, I wish I had the actual cdc facts for the instructors link.  .  One of the biggest verbal suggestions is 'use common sense and dont get sick" !
